Overview

Key Lento is a confirmed Mariana County location, and its real-world match is Key Largo, the first and largest island in the real Florida Keys chain running south from the mainland.

Key Largo sits at the top of the Keys along the Overseas Highway, the single road that strings the whole chain together, and it has built its identity around diving and reef tourism. John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, the first underwater park set up anywhere in the United States, protects a stretch of living reef just offshore, and the town has leaned into that reputation for decades, right down to the classic film that shares its name.

Mariana County itself is likely modeled on Monroe County, the real county that covers the Keys, which fits Key Lento's placement here. Whether the reef, the water or the town itself factor into anything playable has not been said.
