Venetian Islands is a confirmed Vice-Dale County location, and it keeps the exact name of the real Venetian Islands, a chain of man-made islands strung across Biscayne Bay between Miami and Miami Beach. The real islands were built during Florida's 1920s land boom and are threaded together by the Venetian Causeway, a low bridge route that has served as a quieter, more scenic alternative to the main causeways ever since. Homes on the real islands rank among the most expensive in the area, and the causeway itself is recognized as a historic structure in its own right, popular with cyclists and joggers for the water views on both sides of the road.
