The Heavy Pistol takes after an M1911-style .45, the older single-stack design that trades round count for punch. It has been a series regular for a reason: fewer shots per mag, but each one lands with weight. Treat it as a step up from a basic 9mm when you want more stopping power up close.
A gun store in the Ammu-Nation style is the likely place to buy this, and it may also turn up on downed enemies. Rockstar has not explained how GTA 6 gun shops work yet, so the buy method is not locked down.
