Overview

Jellyfish are soft, drifting animals with stinging tentacles and no brain, heart or bones. Along Florida's coast the common ones include moon jellies and cannonball jellyfish, which can wash toward the beaches in large numbers during warm months, and beach patrols post warnings when they do. Some species deliver painful stings, though most found off Florida are mild.

Rockstar told Game Informer, for its September 2026 cover story, that Leonida's waters hold sharks, whales, rays, turtles and jellyfish, each with its own way of moving. The studio did not say which species it modeled, so this entry covers jellyfish as a group rather than naming one.

Where they show up, how they look up close, and if a sting can hurt the player are all still unknown.
